Studio

Our ethos

A home should be joyful as you move through its spaces, with an energy that’s more than the sum of its parts. We think about space in three dimensions, and we orchestrate architectural elements –thresholds, volumes and voids – to expand and contract space, to amplify a room, to dramatically frame a view, or to simply distinguish between the private and public domains.

We integrate light and landscape, connecting indoors to out in celebration of our climate, and we lean into a natural palette of materials, textures and tones as a harmonious backdrop for living. Luxury means different things to different people. For us it’s about the quality of spaces, rather than scale — the details and craftsmanship, the light, the shadows. Every space should be a beautiful, uplifting moment.

We scan the horizon for new enabling technologies to help communicate the vision with our clients. We look beyond our own patch for the best of local and international spaces – not for trends, but for the classic elements of style to weave into each project.

Our process

Home is the most personal space we occupy. An expression of ourselves, and how we choose to live. As designers, we see every project as a collaboration and a journey. No two are the same, but our four-stage process, honed over years of practice, delivers certainty on cost, timing and quality.

The first step is getting to know you and what your dream home might be like. We invite you to our studio to meet the team and start developing a brief based on your goals and aspirations. We’ll then critically explore the site for constraints and opportunities, before agreeing on an overall approach.

With the brief clarified, we begin design with a view to presenting two optional schemes, in renders and 3D walkthrough. Our design development phase includes full interior specifications and a preliminary guide to costs. This is where we collaborate with you on materials and finishes. It’s also where we engage with the consultants required to progress plans through the Development Application (DA) approval process.

Here we focus on the critical detail of documenting for construction. The construction documents are then tendered out to a trusted cohort of building contractors for pricing and are also used at this stage to obtain the Construction Certificate (CC), required by law before building commences.

All through construction, we provide design and quality assurance support and manage the Request for Information (RFI) process to ensure the agreed design intent is delivered to the letter. We conduct regular site meetings to assess progress, report to you on any issues including defects for rectification prior to achieving the Occupancy Certificate (OC).

Our team

We’re an experienced team with a track record of designing and delivering high-end homes across a broad range of locations and sites for our clients.

When trusting your project with us you will be assigned a dedicated project team whose skills and experience align with the unique characteristics and the clients vision for the project, responsible for delivering your project from initial design through to completion.
