Realised by a collaborative coalition of designers, builders and a talented client with a good eye, the transformation references the Palm Beach Heritage material palette with its own contemporary interpretation.
Shou Sugi Ban cladding, sandstone walls and white fabricated metal window extrusions are used in lieu of more traditional materials. These contemporary materials are deployed to better deal with the harsh wind, sun, salt and sand that is so prevalent in the area. Internally, a coastal palette of white shiplap cladding, striking marble and a soft render finish weaves the interior styling together into a considered whole.
Pacific House Palm Beach now sits more naturally within the context of houses historically, presently and looking forward.
