Alfred House Bronte

The house was designed to take into consideration the needs of the family in the present and in the future. It achieves this by offering a strategy of spaces which facilitate the different social and privacy needs as the family matures.

The site situated on the southern side of a semi pair, we introduced openings that captured the light reflecting off the boundary wall to brighten the spaces. The stair with its large expansive skylight is a haven of sun and the light bounces around the double height space throughout the day.

Having a home that’s spaces are able to adapt to the growing needs of a family, greatly enhances the longevity of any home design. Timeless and hard waring finishes were utilised to reinforce this idea.
